Corporate History

Creation is our miracle.

March 1958 Hirose Paper Mfg Co., Ltd. established with capital of 2,000,000 JPY for manufacturing of synthetic fiber paper.
March 1958 Launched synthetic fiber paper Papillon® (100% vinylon).
April 1959 Marketed PVA binder fiber as sliding-screen paper.
April 1967 Increased capital to 5,000,000 JPY.
May 1967 Established Chung Rhy Specialty Paper MFG. Co., Ltd. in Taiwan and concluded a technology agreement with the company.
June 1972 Introduced the second paper machine.
September 1974 Introduced pollution control equipment for discharged water and stack treatment.
April 1976 Developed inorganic fiber paper.
March 1977 Increased capital to 12,000,000 JPY.
September 1977 Developed two-layered synthetic fiber paper.
April 1979 Developed 100% polyester fiber paper.
May 1979 Introduced a new dip coating machine.
September 1981 Introduced a new high-pressure thermal treatment machine.
May 1983 Increased the capital to 20,000,000 JPY.
June 1983 Developed 100% olefin fiber paper.
September 1983 Extended and renovated the head plant.
June 1986 Completed a new Hidaka Plant to reinforce the Processing Department.
February 1987 Launched the super-lightweight 100% synthetic fiber paper (PET 5g/㎡), which was awarded the Kochi Local Industry Grand Prize in March 1988.
April 1988 The Hidaka Plant spun off as a separate organization to become Techno Hirose.
May 1988 Opened Tokyo Office.
September 1988 Replaced the first paper machine with a stainless machine and set up an inclined wire.
April 1992 Introduced water purifying equipment.
March 1994 Techno Hirose incorporated.
January 2000 Obtained ISO9002 certification.
July 2002 Certification renewed as ISO9001:2000.
November 2004 Obtained ISO14001 certification.
November 2005 Certification renewed as ISO14001:2004.
May 2006 Acquired Fukuhara Seishi KK.
December 2006 Completed a new plant for Fukuhara Seishi KK.
February 2007 Filed a patent for the "method for manufacturing microfiber assembly."
January 2010 Renamed Fukuhara Seishi KK to Frontier Hirose Co., Ltd.
November 2013 Completed the Hirose Paper Exceneer Plant.
